Message from the Chairman
The Endovascular surgery in Bulgaria has already made its first steps but is still distant from the routine practice of the “Open” Vascular surgery, which however has a very limited international alliance. The newly founded Bulgarian Association of Vascular Surgeons (BAVS) started several novel initiatives to stimulate Endovascular surgery in our country and to enhance the international contacts of the Bulgarian Vascular surgeons. The 1-st Bulgarian Vascular-Endovascular Meeting will therefore be one of the most important events following this avenue.
The main goal of the meeting will be to bring together Vascular surgeons, Interventionalists and other Vascular specialists into a “Joint Meeting”, where lectures, reports and live demonstrations will be focused on the Vascular problems. Since such an international event will take place for the first time in this country we will be happy to meet you in our beautiful capital Sofia and have the chance to discuss with you, even in an informal way, both present and future of Vascular and Endovascular surgery.
The aim of the event could be fulfilled only with your participation and it will help this meeting to become a regular one. It will be a great honor to see you in Sofia and we believe that the new connections and friendship will be among the most important outcomes of the event.
Dear Colleague, welcome my message as an official invitation for you and for your accompanying persons and send us your response, accompanied with the title of your presentations, as soon as possible.
28.01.03, Sofia Assoc. Prof. Andreia Andreev, MD, PhD, FICA
